LOCATION: A guided, yet exploratory photo experience in the beautiful Hudson Valley. Or if you have a special location in mind consider me your dedicated photographer ready to adventure! Hamlets, forest trails, waterfalls, and historic districts are all incredible backdrops and immersive spaces for capturing your personal story.
During select times of the year, you can book your portrait or brand session in Arizona without travel fees. Primary locations include Arcosanti's stunning architecture and Sedona's gorgeous red rocks. Hop on my email list for first dibs, spots are very limited!
PROCESS: The imagery we create will be timeless, emotive, and beautiful. I will gently guide the session to ensure that you have a relaxing and uplifting experience. As an artist and storyteller, I aim to capture your essence, playfulness, and the seasons of your life that deserve to be documented. To get to know you better before your session, I’ll have you fill out a portrait session questionnaire. Please keep in mind that these photos are for personal use. TIMING: Sessions are typically scheduled 1-2 hours before sunset when we can expect beautiful, dreamy golden light. Expect that from when we meet to our hug goodbye (or air high-five), all of my energy and attention will be on you, so we can make the most of our time together.
DELIVERABLES: As a part of this investment, you will receive a private online gallery of professionally edited + high-resolution meaningful images. Your gallery will be delivered within 8 business days and is easy to share with family and friends. To tide you over, you’ll head home with a handful of Polaroids and a sneak peek will be emailed within 24 hours.

Where are you based? (Will you travel?)
Kingston, NY in the Hudson Valley. I often travel to Arizona, California, New York City, and even Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Montreal, Canada (I am Canadian!). Please reach out to see when I plan to be in these locations next. When I’m not traveling, out-of-state session travel fees just need to cover flights (if necessary), transportation, and stay.
What type of sessions do you photograph?
The sweetness of motherhood and romantic couples sessions are my jam. Self-love shoots are equally inspiring when we get to be one-on-one and I capture your essence. Also, super cool couples that are planning to elope or are keeping it small and intimate can find my matrimony package here. I really just love being able to make art with my camera and connect with y’all.
What’s your style?
I have a non-traditional, documentary shooting style and consider myself more of a lifestyle photographer. I gravitate towards capturing authentic candid moments - laughing, playing, flirting, cuddling, and hugging - that unfold naturally, with a sprinkle of directed poses. Regarding editing, I will moderately edit your photos in Lightroom for consistency and style (a natural, warm radiance), but I do not dramatically alter your images.
When do you schedule sessions?
Outdoor sessions are typically scheduled 1-2 hours before sunset. This is when lighting is best. The sun is low, soft, and luminous. Indoor lifestyle photos are typically photographed mid-day when we can have ample natural light shining throw your windows.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
No, you pay a $100, non-refundable retainer (that will be applied to your final balance). I do not write anything down in my calendar until the retainer has been paid, making your desired date up for grabs. The purpose of the retainer fee is to lock in your date/time. If you cancel last minute, I most likely would have been able to book another client. If a client fails to show without notice the retainer shall be forfeited. No refunds will be granted at any time, but with proper notice, reschedules will be allowed within an appropriate time frame. Life happens!

How long does my PORTRAIT session last?
My timeframes are very generous and typically a session will last between 45-90 minutes. Any client that is late arriving to the session will have the amount of time late deducted from the time allotted for the session and therefore guaranteed image quantity may be decreased as a result. Branding sessions are à la carte and client-specific.
What do I wear? Should I get my hair and makeup done professionally?
Wear what makes you feel fabulous but also comfortable! Clothes that allow for movement and compliment your crew (or your personality) are ideal. Having your hair/makeup done professionally can be a confidence booster and make your photos look polished. Either way, there is no wrong answer, you do you! Once your retainer is received I will email you my Client Style Guide.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the weather is crazy/act of god/I am sick/etc, I will contact you asap and we will put your retainer toward a re-schedule. Cloudy weather and under 40% precipitation is not a problem.
Do I get to select my images?
As a photographer, I hold on to the right of artistic discretion in selecting the images released to the client. I promise you will receive the best, most flattering images (edited, NOT raw), the funny ones, and those simple unassuming ones that bring a tear to your eye. I have no reason to withhold any images, so if you’ve booked a mini-session with me and there are additional ones you would enjoy, purchasing more in a bundle is always an option!
I’m excited to see my photos! How and when will I receive my gallery?
Well, I’m excited to share them! All portrait clients (personal use) will receive a gallery of digital images in their email within 8 business days following your session. Your online gallery will expire after 5 days, so be sure to download your images asap and save them somewhere reliable/accessible! Also, consider backing up your images to 2 USBs and give one to a trusted friend/family member to safely store.
Can I print my images myself?
Yes. All my sessions include professionally edited imagery and print release via digital download. You also can order professional prints directly from your online gallery via my trusted photo lab.
